Aleš Veselý on the Premises of Josef Pleskot

Following the successful exhibitions by Ladislav Novák, Karel Malich, Jan Merta, František Kupka and Josef Váchal, in 2009 the former castle brewery rooms reconstructed by architect Josef Pleskot are decorated with the drawings, graphic prints and project models by Aleš Veselý.  

The core of his work are monumental exterior sculptures and this is why visitors to Litomyšl are confronted with Aleš Veselý's objects at every turn. Architect Josef Pleskot identified fifteen locations in the historic town centre, which are connected with imaginary axes and spiritual links, where the sculptures are installed during summer season. Some of them are being created specifically for the venues in Litomyšl and they are displayed there for the first time.
